Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost

One of my favorite hymns, and this is a fabulous rendition of it: a reminder that the center will hold, even as all around it gives way.

I know that my Redeemer lives:
Glory, Hallelujah!
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
Glory, Hallelujah!

Shout on, pray on, we’re gaining ground:
Glory Hallelujah!
The dead’s alive, and the lost is found;
Glory Hallelujah!

He lives, He lives, who once was dead:
He lives, my everlasting Head!

He lives to bless me with His love;
He lives to plead my cause above.

He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same.

He lives to crush the fiends of hell;
He lives and doth within me dwell.
