Very random question meme

    It's raining--proper, what's-the-use-of-an-umbrella, turn-on-the-lights-because-it's-nighttime-dark-at-8:30AM raining--for the first time…

2. No. Prefer summer to winter.

37. Messy.
38. Taxes. Especially estate taxes. Gov't got a third of my inheritance. One reason I love living in Texas--No State Income tax!
62. Orange. I drink it all the time because no coffee.
64 I can't see it. It's raining too hard.

92 don't do cheese on my pasta. poach 'em in chicken broth in the microwave.

38) I am with you there on taxes! It would be easier to bear with them if they actually produced things like good roads and protected borders, but as is... ugh.

64) It's been gray and rainy for at least a month now--I'm definitely ready for the sun!
For Z, because she's a doll:

45: do you trust your instincts a lot? I've learned to--I have two big regrets from college and one of them was second-guessing my instinct for who to ask to be my senior paper advisor. Instead of going for who I knew would be a good fit, I asked someone else, followed their advice even though I really didn't want to, and have regretted it ever since. But it taught me to pay better attention to my gut feeling, so perhaps it was worth the frustration.
46: tell us the worst pun you can think of. I think you mean BEST. Which is clearly that Gandhi was a super-calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
47: what food do you think should be banned from the universe? "Vegetarian chicken". Also, unlabeled tofu hotdogs.
48: what was your biggest fear as a kid? is it the same today? I used to seriously freak myself out by trying to imagine what eternity would be like, which was not at all helped by having The Littlest Angel as my main point of reference for heaven. That gradually faded when I realized that I could actually quite happily spend eternity (or at least an extended indefinite period of time) singing good music with a good choir. Now it's probably hurting my family in some way, especially my sister's children. It's both wonderful and horrifying to have someone vulnerable who trusts you that much.
49: do you like buying CDs and records? what was the last one you bought? Sure do! Though just CDs; don't have room for a record player. I'm pretty sure the latest one I've bought was John Renbourn Collected, after Windows Media Player decided I'm no longer allowed to listen to the copy I ripped off my sister's CD 15 years ago.

\o/ I'm sending this to my dad.
these are indeed hella random questions!
15, 23, 33, 83, 86 :-D
Oh, I somehow overlooked this. Sorry for the delay!

15: go google a weird space fact and tell us what it is! "In space the skin on your feet peels off! This is a pretty gross fact but in the micro-gravity environment, astronauts are not using their feet to walk. Therefore the skin on their feet starts to soften and flakes off. As laundry facilities do not exist in space, astronauts will wear the same underwear and socks for a few days. Those socks then need to be taken off very gently. If not those dead skin cells will float around in the weightless environment."

23: what’s your favorite thing to do on lazy days where you have 0 obligations? Laze around in my pajamas and alternate between reading (I'm on a Conan the Barbarian kick) and playing computer games.

33: what’s your fave pastry? Almond croissant. The local bakery makes some that are to die for--ooh, or their peach burst. So good!

83: what’s some of your favorite album art?

86: do you like concept albums? which ones? Uh, Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans is pretty rad. Otherwise, I actually have almost no exposure to concept albums. I know vaguely what's meant by the term, but I just haven't listened to enough of them to be able to make a verdict.
that is a terrifically weird and creepy space fact! the idea of breathing in roaming sole fragments is quite gross.

all the thumbs up for reading, games, croissants and those lovely photographs :-D

That Princess Leia album is an epic undertaking -- fans are amazing. Concept albums, hah -- well, very varied in genre and purpose, but the classics are generally an acquired taste. Can be hard to find people who get prima facie excited about a 45 minute electric folk song about castles and Biggles that is in turn a parody of concept albums!
I do like it when albums have some kind of shape to them, I guess, as opposed to being some random collection of songs that add up to the right amount of time.
