what about all that unfinished fanfiction?

The answer--I hope the true answer, not the wishful-thinking one--is "Fridays!" I'll be setting aside Fridays as my "finish the damn fanfiction" writing time. There's a fair bit of it to be done, almost entirely SGA AUs. Not sure yet where I'll start, but the largest of them is the Kingfishers 'verse (AKA magic & tattoos), which has thirteen (thirteen! I must be mad) stories partly written and is dearest to my heart. (Although Things Already Seen runs it a very close second and will probably get done first as it's shorter and more self-contained.)
And there are a batch of prompt-ficlets and 5-things that I still intend to write, although the original prompters likely aren't watching any more and have completely forgotten about them.

As for original fiction, the Princess and the Fox will be completed, most likely over at imaginarybeasts, as will that dratted originalbigbang story--but they're both going to change in shape slightly, because all the problems I was having with them go away if I stick them in the new world I'm creating (which needs a name).

If there's something I started or mentioned ages ago and you hold the possibility of it near and dear to your heart, please let me know. I'll try to get to it sooner rather than later.

Dug this up while going through my now-dusty files of WIPs. Don't know what I meant to do with it, but there's something there that I rather like:
“What am I to do with you, Wendy Moira Angela Darling Adams? I could turn you into a tree,” he said with all apparent seriousness, “but that seems something of a waste.”

“I don’t particularly want to be a tree,” Wendy said, and hoped rather desperately that things didn’t come to that.
