Astro City: the Dark Age, vols. 1 & 2, and Shining Stars. Well, this continues to be my favorite comic book series ever, probably in large part because it's about a step and a half away from what I'd write if I were ever to get into that business. Which I won't. The Dark Age is, as might be expected from the title, dark, but it's a darkness shot through with hope and there are some truly beautiful scenes in it. Shining Stars is mostly just plain fun in comparison, but there's some substantial stuff going on underneath here as well, as I've come to expect from this series.

Tom Strong and the Robots of Doom. A very pretty, very fun pulp magazine-style story that carries on the Tom Strong tradition with panache. Gigantic killer robots! Time-traveling Nazis! What more could you ask for? ^_- I look forward to the sequel, Tom Strong and the Planet of Peril, whenever it comes out.

Um. I have been reading actual books, I promise, I just haven't finished any since last week.
