weather! and packing. but no poll. :(

It is raining! For the first time in a month and a half! Hurrah! I don't have to feel guilty about not watering things last night! And maybe our lawn won't look like a doormat anymore! That would be nice. Grass shouldn't go crunch.

Unrelatedly, I am going to Iceland in less than two weeks. How did that happen? Well, I know how that happened, it's just that I didn't expect it to happen so soon. You know how it is when something's always been months away on the horizon, and then suddenly it's NOW. My brain keeps freaking out. I'd be freaking out too, probably, except there really isn't any reason to do so.

Why am I telling you this? Because I haven't been out of the country (except to Canada and that sort of doesn't really count) since I was eight, and I have no idea what to pack or what to expect from the whole airport thing and was hoping you, O Great F-list, could offer advice. Please do. I'd ask Batman, but he's not around at the moment. And also, kind of unapproachable. (Can you picture that conversation? "Hey, Batman, thanks for keeping me from getting mugged. Also, you seem like the kind of person who would be good at planning for international trips and such. I'm going to Iceland for two weeks. Any tips?" Yeah, no.)

Okay, fake poll, because I don't feel like futzing around with a real one:
Iceland: cool, or cooler?
I'd say "show your work", but that would make it an exam, not a poll, so yeah. I should go work on my imaginarybeasts story, as the deadline's Monday, but I'll probably go watch cartoons instead because my brain hasn't kicked into storytelling gear yet and staring at a blank piece of paper won't get it going. Needs a junmp-start or the literary equivalent.

Or a vacation. Yeah, that would be good too.
