So, I'm writing a thing on Slime Rancher, the computer game that has eaten my life for the last week or so, but in the meantime, I thought this was a really nifty reflection on the current state of astronomy and robotic space exploration. You can't really tell from my current (shared) interests, but all the way up through college--through until I got caught up in fandom, really--I basically wallowed in the sort of thing. It was one reason I read almost exclusively science fiction all through high school. And it's a bit weird to realize that we're living through that first part of exploration where the discoveries come so hard and fast that they begin to become mundane to us. Weird, but kind of cool.
