faith

second sunday of advent

My soul praises the greatness of the Lord,
And my heart is full of joy because of God, my savior;
For he has kindly lowered his look to me, his humble servant.
Yes, from now, people of all times will call me blessed,
For God the all-powerful has made for me magnificent things.
His name is holy,
He has mercy in all times,
For all who him respectfully fear.

He hath shewed strength with his arm : he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat : and hath exalted the humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with good things : and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel : as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed for ever.

Honestly, I have no idea--Protestants tend to be a bit more subdued than Catholics in their fast/feast days. But probably Thursday through Easter Sunday. Maybe the Monday after. So that would be . . . *counts on fingers* the 9th through 13th? Something like that? Although you might want to avoid Palm Sunday as well, so make that the entire week before Easter.
